Club Profile: Ann Webb

Ann Webb

Club Role: Choreography Coach

Synchro History: I became involved in synchro, many years ago, after my daughter joined the Rushmoor club and now my granddaughter swims with them. I started coaching the 13/14 team with Rushmoor, progressed to the 15/16 team, winning several competitions with both. I went on to coach the County team and then the District team for several years with success each time. Followed this with the England team and then the Great Britain team. During this time I met people from the Portsmouth Victoria club and decided to join them. I also gained my Teachers qualification in Synchronised swimming. I stopped coaching for a couple of years and was contacted by Chris and Lindsay and joined PADs, which I love, it is such a friendly club to belong to.

Other Interests: My other interest is making cards, my way of relaxing and keeping me out of mischief and I adore spending time with my family. My favourite food is cheese, onion and potato pie and I don't have any pets, I'm allergic to them. I've passed exams in both Ballroom dancing and Tap and I'm sure that my interest in dancing is why I love coaching the choreography side of synchro. I love helping swimmers improve the way they perform, even if it is the tiniest bit and you will probably hear me saying 'it needs to be sharper'.
